Voilà, nous y sommes, l'heure a sonné d'embarquer pour ces cinq semaines de voyage en compagnie d'artistes internationaux à travers les cinq continents !
En avant pour ce GRAND TOURNOI INTERNATIONAL ITAC'17

Et pour cette première étape, c'est en Europe que nous vous invitons à poser le pied...
CHALLENGE 1 – EUROPE
...Les Visages de l'impression!

Bienvenue en Europe !
Bienvenue sur ce VIEUX continent, berceau de la civilisation, qui au fil des âges a reçu de multiples influences. Forgée par une histoire millénaire, L'Europe est une communauté de peuples et de différents États qui possède à la fois un héritage commun et de nombreuses différences.
​
C'est cette société multiculturelle aux différents VISAGES à l'origine de grandes découvertes, comme l'IMPRIMERIE, qui a influencé les MODES et qui a connu de grands BOULEVERSEMENTS que nous avons voulu célébrer aujourd'hui.
​
Vous devrez donc nous proposer une réalisation (Page, carte, canvas, art journal, assemblage...ou autre), qu'elle qu'en soit la forme ou la technique, qui comportera :

Un visage
-
Des papiers (papier journal, papier imprimé, papier de riz...)
-
Des lettres, des chiffres
-
Du bleu pour la couleur de l'Europe
-
Du ruban, de la corde, de la ficelle, de la dentelle
-
De la texture pour les civilisations antiques, la chute du Mur de Berlin...
-
Quelque chose de vintage et de moderne à la fois
Soyez fous et surtout faites-vous plaisir : ce n'est pas le nombre de consignes respectées qui comptera, mais plus vous en mettrez, mieux ce sera...
Notre jury délibérera sur l'ensemble (réalisation, thème, consignes, techniques, originalité, mise en page...etc) et désignera peut-être même des coups de cœur !

Alberto Juarez - Mini Album
Salvador Dalí has always had a curious relationship with portraits and faces. I was inspired by his eccentricity and the colours of his homeland in making this piece of work. I mixed together colours and textures using a Steampunk style with touches of golden colour. I also included text and letters to bring to mind his fascination with poetry and his relationship with Federico Garcia Lorca
DeeDee Catron - Pamphlet
This little pamphlet embodies everything I love about mixed media & art with a flourish of European style like some Ukrainian text and old world textures.
Natalie May - Scrapbook Layout
It's all about PrintMaking for me (as I LOVE my Gel Press) and all of the challenge elements fitted in just perfect. I incorporated lots of different techniques to create this page, each one different to the other but all working together beautifully.
Olga Haldwein- Mixed Media Canvas
I wanted to try to include all the elements of our challenge in my project. I let myself go with the flow and sat down to work with only a general idea and I love how it has come out!
Tracy Evans - Tray
I was first inspired by a face which I created from clay to represent my love of our multicultural society. I wanted to create a piece that represented us as a society protecting our love of our people within Europe. This is represented by the hand in my artwork, which represents a protective hand, which has many layers inspired by our challenge, including vintage newspaper pieces, lace, hessian, threads, paint layers, European Map, all to create layers to add texture, creating a very tactile piece.

I let myself get carried away by my passion for colours and textures when I made this piece of work which combines both modern and vintage elements while keeping a very fresh and abstract style…

Jasmina - Scrapbook Layout
J'ai choisi de faire une page avec une photo où l'on me voit avec mon fils. Je voulais une page dynamique mais également douce et intemporelle pour refléter l'émotion de ce moment où Julian, après des mois de stress, se sentait enfin bien. Les pages de livre, la couleur craft apportent cette douceur, et le fond travaillé en bleu et blanc, et les fleurs oranges suggèrent le côté dynamique.
